Juan Bravo
Member of the Popular Group in the Congress of Deputies for Ceuta from December 2015 until his appointment as Minister of Finance and European Financing, replacing Alberto García Valera.
With a degree in Law from the University of Jaén, the new Councillor is a Civil Servant in the Senior Corps of State Tax Inspectors and has been Honorary Professor of Financial Law at the University of Córdoba.
An expert in Tax Law and the fight against tax fraud, after passing several competitive examinations, he has worked since 2001 in different departments of the Tax Agency as a technician in the Inspection and Crimes against the Public Treasury Unit, attached to the Collection Unit in Cordoba and Delegate of the Tax Agency in Ceuta, and has held the position of Delegate of the Ministry of Finance in Ceuta.
Bravo Baena has a special link with Jaén, a city where he moved to live in 1997 as a player in the División de Honor futsal team ‘Jaén Paraíso Interior’. In addition to studying law, he lived in that province until 2012, with several transfers for work reasons that also took him to Cordoba, Granada, Madrid and Valencia.
Until the date of his appointment, Bravo Baena has been a member of various committees, including the Finance, Budget and Economy and Business and Spokesperson for Science, Innovation and Universities in the Congress of Deputies.
