Irene Cano
Irene Cano, a graduate in Business Administration and Management from the University of Oviedo, has an impressive track record in the technology sector that goes back more than a decade. Her career began in 2003 at Google, where she deployed her talent as Head of Operations, and subsequently rose to Agency Director in 2006. This experience at one of the world’s leading technology companies laid the foundation for a bright future in the industry.
In January 2010, Irene Cano took a momentous step in her career by joining Facebook as Commercial and Business Development Director. In this position, she contributed to the expansion and consolidation of the social network in Spain, taking it to new levels of success.
In her role as CEO of META Iberia, Irene assumed responsibility for adapting and implementing the company’s strategy in the Spanish and Portuguese market in various business areas. Her focus on digitalization as a growth driver has been one of the keys to the company’s success in the region.
In addition to her role at META Iberia, Irene Cano sits on the Board of Directors of Adveo, a major European company that leads the office supplies and services sector and is listed on the IBEX 35. Her participation in the Advisory Board of Liberbank in Asturias also shows her commitment to business and financial development.
