Former president of the Community of Madrid  

Jaime Ignacio González González González, better known as Ignacio González, is a Spanish politician former member of the Popular Party (he was temporarily suspended from militancy in April 2017). He served as President of the Community of Madrid between September 26, 2012, and June 25, 2015, following the resignation of his predecessor Esperanza Aguirre.  

He had previously held other positions in the regional executive, as vice president or minister of Culture and Sports. He was also secretary-general of the Partido Popular of the Community of Madrid.
