President of REDEIA

She graduated in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1991, and two years later, by competitive examination, she joined the Spanish Property and Mercantile Registrar Corps (currently on leave of absence). She has completed other higher studies such as the Senior Management Programme (PADE-A-2013) and the “Women on Boards of Directors” programme, both offered by IESE Business School.
In her public career, among the positions and functions she has held, she has been Minister of Housing and President of the Board of Directors of the Public Business Entity for Land, SEPES; Secretary of State for Housing and Urban Actions; Councillor in the Madrid City Council and Councillor of the Municipal Housing and Land Company, as well as Member of the Congress of Deputies.
She is also currently Vice-President of the Board of Trustees of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, as well as a member of the Advisory Board of Woman in a Legal World (WLW) and of the Advisory Board of Women Action Sustainability (WAS). She has also been Director of Institutional Relations of the Association of Registrars and President of the Pablo Iglesias Foundation.
On the academic side, it is worth mentioning her experience as an associate professor at Nebrija University, IE University and the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
She has received, among other awards, the Grand Cross of the Royal and Distinguished Spanish Order of Carlos III and the Forinvest award for her professional career.
