He has worked for several international organisations, such as the World Bank (2000-2007), or the African Development Bank, and has also held various positions in Spanish agencies and public bodies (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FIIAPP, AECID, Expansi\u00f3n Exterior or ICEX). He has lived in Spain, Argentina, USA, Mexico and Kenya. From July 2014 to October 2016 he was Secretary of Economy of the PSOE. Since June 2018 he has served as Director of Economic Affairs and G20 of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government and since January 2020 he is the G20 Sherpa of the Government of Spain.
