Paco Salcedo
Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). He completed his studies with an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from INSEAD/Euroforum and a Master’s Degree in Space Communication Systems from the École Nationale de Télécommunication in Paris.
With a career spanning more than 25 years in the ICT sector, Salcedo has accumulated solid experience in digital transformation, service innovation, and growth strategies.
During his early corporate years, he worked for around 15 years at Telefónica, holding management positions, including Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Telefónica Soluciones, with responsibility for customers in Spain, Latin America and Europe.
He then took on an international role as Senior Vice President of Etisalat Digital, based in the Middle East, leading the digital transformation of companies and administrations in countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
More recently, during his time at Microsoft CEMA (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), he was Managing Director of the Large Enterprises division, managing global operations and disruptive business projects.
Since January 2025, he has led Microsoft Spain as President, managing a team of more than 1,300 professionals and spearheading the strategy for the adoption of cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and responsible innovation in the Spanish market.
In addition to his corporate career, in 2025 he was recognised with the ‘Engineer of the Year’ award by Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación (COIT), in recognition of his leadership, his contribution to technological development and his role in Spain’s digital transformation.
