Joseph Oughourlian
Joseph Oughourlian is the founder of Amber Capital, a firm he established in New York in November 2005. Oughourlian began his career at Société Générale in Paris in 1994 and moved to New York in 1996. In 1997, he started managing Société Générale’s direct equity holdings in New York, which led him to create Amber Fund in October 2001 with the bank’s initial capital.
Oughourlian graduated from HEC and IEP (Sciences Po), both in Paris, and obtained a postgraduate degree in Economics from the Sorbonne in Paris. Oughourlian serves on the boards of several companies.
He was appointed a director of PRISA in December 2015 and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors in April 2019. In February 2021, he was appointed Chairman.
