Jordi Fàbrega
Jordi Fàbrega is Head of the Economics Section at Cadena SER, a position he has held since 2025, after more than two decades of professional experience in radio and economic journalism. He specialises in macroeconomic and financial information, both nationally and internationally, with a focus on major economic trends and the main challenges of the global environment.
With a degree in Journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, he began his professional career at Radio Olot and later joined Cadena SER, where he spent most of his career. Between 2013 and 2019, he was Editor-in-Chief and Production Manager of the programme Hoy por Hoy, coordinating editorial teams, content and digital projects for Spain’s leading radio station, which was awarded the Ondas National Radio Prize in 2019.
Since 2019, he has been Economics Editor at Cadena SER, responsible for macroeconomic and financial coverage. His work has been recognised with the Accenture Journalism Award in the Economy and Innovation category for the programme El euro digital, cada vez más cerca (The digital euro, getting closer), as well as the Antonio Moreno Espejo Journalism Award from the CNMV.
He has additional training in digital skills, analytics and data journalism, and combines his economic expertise with experience in production, programme editing and new news formats.
