Chief Executive Officer of INDRA Group

Spanish entrepreneur with extensive experience in the defence and security industry. Together with his father and brother, he co-founded EM&E Group (Escribano Mechanical & Engineering), a family business created in 1989 that has evolved from a machining workshop into a global leader in defence systems.  

Under his leadership, EM&E was transformed: it went from manufacturing mechanical parts to designing and producing complex defence systems—such as remote weapon stations, electro-optical systems and guided munitions—establishing itself in more than 25 countries and reaching a workforce of over 1,300 employees.  

In January 2025, Escribano took over as president of Indra as part of a strategic change in the company. His appointment reinforces Indra’s industrial and technological focus, with special attention to the defence sector and technological sovereignty in Spain and Europe.  

Thanks to his experience in industrial operations, technological innovation, exports and defence capability development, he brings a practical, operational and long-term vision, with a strong commitment to reindustrialisation and the development of technical and professional talent.
