Former president of the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC)
José María Marín Quemada (born October 17, 1948, in Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish economist who served as the first president of the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) between 2013 and 2020.
He was a director of the Bank of Spain and a member of its Governing Council from 2005 to 2013. Until 2004 he held different positions in private companies.
