José María Solana holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Carlos III University of Madrid and a postgraduate qualification in Executive Management from IE Business School. He has more than 25 years of experience, during which he has held different roles in sales, supply chain, business, marketing, strategy and innovation. 

He joined Moeve Química in 1998 as Sales Manager. Since then, he has held various positions until his appointment as Director of Moeve Química. He also joined Moeve’s Management Committee, reporting directly to the Group CEO, Maarten Wetselaar. Over these years, Solana has led a profound commercial transformation, introducing new roles, a completely different sales structure and an innovative go-to-market strategy, with a major impact on the organization and its results. 

As Director of Moeve Química, José María Solana is leading the transition towards the next generation of sustainable chemical products.
