The 6th edition of SID will take place on 13th and 14th of April

Founded in 2008, Spain Investors Day (SID) is the most relevant summit in Spain for investors and local companies. For two days in a row, institutional investors from all over the world have the opportunity to hold B to B encounters with top managers from Spain’s largest companies, those among the IBEX 35 listed companies, in order to gather crucial information that help them decide on future investments or agreements.

SID gives Spanish listed companies a unique opportunity for letting the market know their reality, future plans, strategy, business plan in order to attract investors and get the financial resources needed to supporting their activity and growth.

Blas Calzada, Chairman of SID’s Governing Council, defined this meeting as a “unique opportunity for the international promotion of Spanish Companies”.

SID’s first edition took place in Madrid. It gathered together up to 33 IBEX companies and more than 200 international investors, who held a total of 451 meetings.

The SID’s second edition exceeded the previous figures with almost 500 meetings, both “one to many” and “one to one” encounters. It also counted with a high participation of foreign investors from the U.S.A., Great Britain, France, Germany, Netherland, Italy, Portugal, Denmark and Norway, among others.

The third edition was the consolidation of Spain Investors Day as an international finance forum to foster foreign investment in Spain. During this edition 35 Spanish Companies held more than 800 one to one meetings and nineteen plenary sessions.

In the fouth edition, were attended more than 220 investors from 15 countries worldwide. Over 750 private meetings (one to one type) were held between investors and companies, as well as 17 presentations (one too many type) to investors took place. And 37 Spanish companies, 80% from IBEX 35, participated.

His Majesty the Father King of Spain chaired the Honors Committee of the SID and His Majesty the King of Spain, Felipe VI, opened the III edition.

The Spanish Government has a relevant presence at SID. Authorities use SID’s public events, such as conferences, official dinners and others, to announce crucial political decisions on regulation or future policies, affecting the Spanish industry and the financial world.

Due to the interest it generates among stakeholders from very different fields, SID has become Spain’s financial annual kick-off event. It also generates plenty of Media coverage.

Public Events

Opening: The opening takes place at the Hotel Ritz in Madrid, (Royal Lounge) in the morning session of the first day. A selected group of entrepreneurs and international investors will attend the official opening ceremony.

Luncheons: Luncheons take place throughout SID at the Hotel Ritz in Madrid (Alfonso XIII Lounge). On these one-hour lunches an economy analyst addresses a conference followed by a debate between a group of investors and invited companies.

Gala Dinner: The gala dinner takes place on the first evening.  A number of investors and relevant companies attend the event.

“One to many”  type meetings.

A senior manager attendee has the opportunity to make a presentation to a group of about 80-100 investors.  It has 30 minutes for the exposition and 10 minutes for questions and answers. Media will not be present at these kinds of meetings.  The presentations are addressed only to the international investors and team members of the company.

Spain Investors Day and Exane BNP Paribas will be scheduling “one to one” meetings between listed companies and international investors.

These types of meetings are one-hour private consultations where discussions and information exchange between the company and the investor institution take place. In the 2010 edition, 451 “one to one” meetings were held. Regarding the 2014 edition, 750 “one to one” meetings were held.

In addition to the above mentioned participation levels, we offer a networking room available for all participants at the event, where they can have access to the Bloomberg and Reuters TV monitors. Coffee service is included.

 

SPAIN INVESTORS DAY 2010 – FIRST TIME
11th and 12th of January – Hotel Ritz

The first Edition of Spain Investors Day (SID) took place in Spain for the first time in 2010.  In this occasion 33 stock listed companies attended the event together with more than 200 institutional investors, Managers of Private Funds and Sovereign Wealth Funds.  451 meetings were celebrated between enterprises and investors.

Previous year figures were exceeded in the Second Edition: 500 meetings were held and a high number of international investors were attending the encounters. SID’S third Edition became the consolidation of this International Forum as a “must attend” financial event.

 

SPAIN INVESTORS DAY 2011 – FIRST EDITION

Spain Investors Day was held for the first time in Spain in 2010.  On this occasion 33 stock listed companies attended the event together with more than 200 institutional investors, Managers of Private Funds and Sovereign Wealth Funds.  451 meetings were held between enterprises and investors.

Spain Investors Day  is outlined as a great opportunity for the companies to show up in the financial markets, boost foreign investments and drive the economic activity of Spanish Companies.

SPAIN INVESTORS DAY 2012 – SECOND EDITION

34 stock listed companies of the Spanish Economy attended Spain Investors Day Second Edition.  These companies were represented by their top senior managers who had the opportunity to explain their actual situation on the financial markets to more than 200 international investors.

The new Government of Spain wanted to be present at the meeting and had the opportunity to speak about its economic future plans.  The Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria attended the opening ceremony.  A lunch debate between the Secretary of State for Finance, Miguel Ferre, and a relevant number of entrepreneurs and investors took place on the 11th of January.

The first journey ended with an official dinner addressed by the Under Mayor of the city of Madrid, Miguel Ángel Villanueva and the Secretary of State of Commerce, Jaime García-Legaz was also attending. On the 12th of January a second lunch debate was held. At this time the Secretary of State for the European Union, Íñigo Méndez de Vigo was attending. Previous year figures were exceeded on this Second Edition. In terms of the press impact, more than 400 press reports were published by national and international media.

SPAIN INVESTORS DAY 2013 – THIRD EDITION
15th and 16th of January – Hotel Ritz

 

During the Third Edition of Spain Investors Day, 35 big companies – a 70% are listed on IBEX-35 attended Spain Investors Day Third Edition.

This event brought together companies from the key industries of the Spanish economy which were represented by their top senior managers who had the opportunity to present their point of view.

At this time 600 “one to one” meetings were held and 19 “one to many” meetings were attended by near 200 investors.

In the previous year last edition, the Government of Spain wanted to attend the Forum. It was represented by José Manuel Margallo, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Jaime García Legaz, Secretary of State of Commerce, Miguel Ferre, Secretary of State of Budget, and the Secretary General for Industry and Small and Medium Sized Companies, Luis Valero.

The first day ended with a gala dinner chaired by the President of the Government of Madrid Region, Ignacio González, and the President of the CNMV (the regulatory body for the Spanish Securities Markets) Elvira Rodríguez. The third edition exceeded the previous year figures and became the consolidation of this International Forum as a “must attend” financial event for companies and investors.

The media impact has been reflected in a big number of information reports in National and International media (off line and on line). During the Fourth Edition of Spain Investors Day, 37 Spanish companies – 80% from IBEX 35 attended Spain Investors Day Fourth Edition.

More than 220 investors from 15 countries worldwide attended. 40% were national and 60% was international, giving a total representation of 90% European investors.

Over 750 private meetings (one to one type) were held between investors and companies, as well as 17 presentations (one too many type) to investors took place.

Spanish authorities involved: José Manuel García-Margallo, Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, chaired the opening ceremony. It also included the Secretary of State for Trade and Chairman of ICEX, Jaime García-LEGAZ. Besides, Minister of Economy and Minister of Competitiveness Luis de Guindos and Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, took part in two brunches. The official dinner at the Stock Exchange Palace was chaired by the President of the Community of Madrid, Ignacio Gonzalez, and the President of the Stock Market National Commission (CNMV), Elvira Rodriguez.

More than 1,268 people participated in the events (921 dinners divided in two meals and a formal dinner). All of them were high-level representatives of the economic and financial sectors, both in Spain and abroad: investors, company managers, corporate executives, business managers of banks, among others.

In this fourth edition of SID, over 74 journalists from 50 national and international media were accredited. That has led to wide media coverage, including TV channels and radio, more than 250 print impacts and over 750 online media ones, radio and television. Additionally, it has been reviewed by the main influencer’s opinion leaders. Among the international media attending: Chinese agency Xinhua, Reuters, Bloomberg, Les Echos, investment Talk, Radio Nacional de Uruguay, Press Lawyer, SeekingAlpha, etc.

 

SPAIN INVESTORS DAY 2014 – FIFTH EDITION
13th and 14th of January – Hotel Ritz

During the Fifth Edition of Spain Investors Day, 39 Spanish companies – 80% from IBEX 35 –  with more than 170 investors attended Spain Investors Day Fifth Edition.

Over 700 private meetings (one to one type) were held between investors and companies, as well as 14 presentations (one too many type) to investors took place.

Spanish authorities involved: Secretary of State, Head of the Economic Bureau of the Spanish Prime Minister, Álvaro Nadal Belda, chaired the opening ceremony. It also included the Secretary of State for Trade and Chairman of ICEX, Jaime García-LEGAZ. Besides, Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria and Economy and Competitiveness, Luis de Guindos took part in two brunches. The official dinner at the Stock Exchange Palace was chaired by the Governor of Bank of Spain, Luis M. Linde and the President of the Community of Madrid, Ignacio Gonzalez.

 

More than 1,500 people participated in the events. All of them were high-level representatives of the economic and financial sectors, both in Spain and abroad: investors, company managers, corporate executives, business managers of banks, among others.

In this fifth edition of SID, over 50 media were accredited. That has led to wide media coverage, including TV channels and radio, more than 220 print impacts and over 880 online media ones, radio and television. Additionally, it has been reviewed by the main influencer’s opinion leaders.
